Our meat processing

The most stringent requirement for meat processing is absolute cleanliness and compliance with hygienic work methods. Relevant certificates are all available and regularly renewed and reviewed. All certificates are accessible.

SQTS verifies and confirms all processing procedures for compliance with animal protection.

Processing of rabbit meat is an intensive and demanding work. Therefore our employees can change their places in rotation or according to their preferences. It is a matter of great importance to us that employees actively bring in new ideas. In this way processing procedures can be optimized by our employees’ valuable experience.

IFS Food-Standards

IFS food standards are ideally suited to food processing plants. IFS stands for International Featured Standards and emerged from the need for uniform international standards for quality assurance and food safety.

An international selection of retailers, trade representatives, industries and certification bodies participated in the development of IFS food standards.

The standard is managed by IFS Management GmbH and is applicable to all stages of food processing, which follow agricultural production.

The guidelines of GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) are implemented through IFS food standards. GFSI reflects on the continuous improvement of food safety in order to establish customer trust in food safety worldwide.

Goals of IFS Food-Standards

With the IFS Food-Standard following goals are pursued:

  • Introduction of common standards with a uniform evaluation system,
  • Cooperation with accredited certification bodies and qualified, IFS-certified auditors
  • Securing comparability and transparency within the whole supply chain
  • Reducing costs both by suppliers and in trade (IFS Food, 2012).
